OPAP Q3 bounce back hurt by continued lottery declines

OPAP renews Intralot as lead lottery systems supplier

OPAP SA, Greece’s national lottery operator has exercised its two-year extension option on its existing technology services agreement with Intralot SPA who will continue to serve as its lead systems provider for numerical lotteries provisions.

Updating stakeholders, OPAP confirms that it has extended its supplier contract from August 2021 to July 2023.

This extension will allow Intralot to continue providing its lottery solution incorporating its new novel core platform ‘LotosX’, which launched with great success in 2019, along with several other components and high-quality services.

The lottery solution enables the Greek lottery and sports betting operator to keep optimising its gaming experience and increase the engagement of the Greek player community in a responsible way.

Intralot stated that its next-generation future-proof platform is designed to build scalable ecosystems that meet growing market demand and it fully supports the modernisation and digital transformation of OPAP.

Earlier this month, OPAP announced the permanent appointment of Jan Karas as its new CEO and a new executive member of the company’s Board of Directors.
