Danske Spil, Denmark’s state-owned sports betting and lottery operator, has upgraded its horse racing wagering capacity by integrating Sportech’s flagship Quantum solution within its retail point-of-sales network.
The Quantum upgrade will see Danske Spil’s entire retail network able to process pari-mutuel bets on horse racing, whilst providing a greater depth of pooled racing markets for customers.
Danske Spil confirmed that the integration of Quantum solutions will be led by Scientific Games as its lead wagering systems provider, with a view to launch pari-mutuel bets across 600 Danish retail outlets by the beginning of 2021.

The expansion of our horseracing pools will offer exciting new content to more players and generate additional support for the horseracing industry in Denmark.”
The partnership sees Sportech continue its strong 2020 commercial momentum. The racing systems provider has won and renewed key contracts with the UK Tote Group, the Hong Kong Jockey Club and Macau Horseracing Company.
