In a move to expand its live play gaming dynamics, Gibraltar-based industry games developer Pragmatic Play has confirmed that it will acquire Extreme Live Gaming from Novomatic Group for an undisclosed fee.

Operating out of London and Malta, Extreme Live has formerly served as the live gaming studio property for Austrian multi-national gambling group Novomatic.

The confirmed transaction sees Pragmatic Play diversify its industry portfolio, entering the sector’s live gaming space.

‘The deal marks a further step in Pragmatic Play’s commercial expansion, having penned portfolio integration agreements with major online casino brands including The Rank Group, Mr Green, Lottoland and GVC Holdings in recent months’ details Pragmatic Play in its market update.

Pragmatic Play secures the outright assets of Extreme Live which includes ten live stream tables, covering roulette, blackjack and baccarat from its studios in London.

Updating investors, Melissa Summerfield Chief Commercial Officer at Pragmatic Play, said: “The name Extreme Live Gaming stands for quality and innovation, and we are delighted to enhance our multi-vertical gaming strategy with this acquisition, further cementing our position as a leading industry provider.

“The popularity of live casino has grown hugely in recent years, and the vertical holds a great deal of potential. We have every confidence that our passion and drive for going beyond our clients and players’ expectations will help us to realise that potential.”

Moving forward, Pragmatic Play will incorporate Extreme Live gaming games inventory which includes the exclusive titles of Golden Ball, Reel Roulette and Roulette 360. Furthermore, the industry games developer will seek to develop cross-over dynamics between its flagship games and Extreme Live’s content.
