Cashplay partners with Multiplay for Insomnia Gaming Festival

International mobile eSports platform, Cashplay, has agreed a deal with Multiplay to deliver real-money mobile tournaments for the upcoming Insomnia Gaming Festival.

UK based Multiplay is a gaming services company, whilst Insomnia55 will feature some of the biggest names in the industry. It’ll take place at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena over the 28-30th August weekend with tournaments to be played out across some of the world’s most popular games including DOTA 2, Counter Strike and League of Legends.

Cashplay will be the tournament’s official provider of mobile eSports competitions and multiple, unlimited entry tournaments will be ongoing throughout, with £1,000 up for grabs in prizes each day.

The mobile element means that festival attendees will have the capacity to play against one another via their own devices on iOS and Android. All they’ll need to do is download the games and they’ll be able to access them from any location at the event. Cashplay is also providing free cash for new users to try games out without having to make their own deposits.

This announcement continues a good year for Cashplay in which they’ve provided mobile eSports tournaments globally at shows such as Casual Connect and GDC.

Cashplay CEO Jarrod Epps said: “Insomnia is a legendary gaming festival and by far the leading gathering for eSports lovers in the UK.”

We are excited to be partnering with Multiplay to add a new dimension to the proceedings by exposing gamers to the huge potential of mobile eSports as both a form of recreation and also a legitimate channel for winning money.”

Cashplay’s partnership with Multiplay will have further repercussions down the line too, with Epps mentioning that his company intend to step things up with a series of live eSports tournaments towards the end of the year. These will include an expected $100,000 (£64,000) cash prize giveaway.
