Intralot secures 35% stake in bit8 platform

Greek lottery and gambling systems operator Intralot has bolstered its digital gaming and sports betting services by confirming it has acquired a 35% stake in digital gambling platform provider bit8.

Intralot did not disclose the acquisition sum of its stake in Bit8, however the company informed that it had first option on increase its stake in the platform provider to 60% within a period of two years.

The agreement between the two parties, will see Intralot integrate bit8 digital systems, throughout its current igaming inventory and verticals. bit8 services will include a range of CRM functions, real-time data processing and player account management provisions.

bit8 CEO Angelo Dali commented on the company’s new investors

“We are very pleased to further our strategic cooperation with Intralot, which gives Bit8 the necessary global reach that will enable us to achieve our vision of offering the best gaming platform in the industry complemented with a wide range of professional services and solutions,”

Antonis Kerastaris, Group CEO of Intralot, added: “The first results of our cooperation with Bit8 are very positive and we are very pleased to announce today the acquisition of 35% of the company.
