Aristocrat ends Japanese business division

pachinko

Gambling technology provider Aristocrat Leisure has confirmed the sale of it Japanese division to Fields Corp, a Japanese gaming machines manufacturer who specialises in pachinko style games content.

Following a strategic review of its operations, Aristocrat governance decided it was best to sell its Japanese operations, which consist of KK Aristocrat and KK Spikey products and services. The company had announced in 21 April that it would discontinue its main Japanese unit.

Aristocrat and Fields Corp did not disclose any financial details regarding the sale. However Aristocrat governance has stated that its Japan business had become “less relevant to Aristocrat’s predominantly recurring revenue footprint,”

Fields Corp announced in a statement that it would utilise KK Aristocrat operations to streamline its production of pachinko machines. Using the firms existing resources such as software, IPS and partnerships to create better gaming content.

In the future, we will release new titles as soon as possible through making the most of these assets, after establishing a cooperative relationship with existing manufacturers,” Fields Corp announced in a separate statement
