Amaya Gaming subsidiary poker operator PokerStars has begun to rollout its sports betting product in beta mode, as the operator looks to launch it’s an integrated online betting service by April 2015. PokerStars has announced beta rollout on 31st of March
The long awaited launch of PokerStars betting vertical is set to come with the release of the operator PokerStars Client 7 release which will see a betting vertical fully integrated to PokerStars desktop client and mobile.
The release of PokerStars full betting product will only be allowed in licensed markets, as Amaya Gaming looks to expand the operator’s product portfolio by adding a sportsbook to its recent inclusion of casino games.
PokerStars issued the following statement with regards to its upcoming sports betting offering
The Corporation anticipates PokerStars will launch its beta version of its sports-betting product, available both on the web and in the PS7 client, in certain jurisdictions in the near future, with rollout to other markets across the dot-com network through the next two quarters of 2015. The company anticipates launching sports betting on mobile in 2015 as well.”
