Paddy Power Australian sports betting subsidiary Sportsbet.com.au has agreed terms to stream Racing Victoria thoroughbred races on its digital verticals.
The streaming partnership between the two parties follows that closure of Australia’s Racing Network, which left Victoria state tracks without a broadcasting partner. The Paddy Power sports betting brand will be allowed to stream live races from all Victorian Metropolitan and country races.
In order to view its racing content, customers will have to deposit and wager on the Sportsbet.com.au’s betting product.
Sportsbet CEO, Cormac Barry, commented on the agreement: –
“Sportsbet is now the one stop shop for Australian punters to bet on Victorian racing. It will put live racing in the hands of punters on the device of their choice – anywhere, anytime. Our 1.8 million customers will be able to access marquee events like the Melbourne Cup, Cox Plate and Caulfield Cup at home, at the pub, on the golf course, or on the road.
“Sportsbet are innovators in finding ways to enhance our customers’ experience and value, and this is a major coup for punters and the Victorian racing industry.
