ICE 2015 Session – Bet Markets

Itai Zak Chief Executive Officer of SBTech leads a high level discussion on the future of sports betting both at B2C and B2B level. Zak tells the ICE 2015 audience where he feels that the industry should look for growth and what future impacts and factors they may face.

SBC Session notes

  • Zak believes that there is still much growth in the sports betting market. He believes that the industry has yet to produce optimal products for its consumers, pin-pointing to mobile betting products which he believes can improve in engagement dynamics, in particular with regards to live betting markets which have yet to be fully enhanced.
  • Zak states that whilst many operators look to potential future player trends and habits, many have forgotten that there is still much opportunity in the current betting markets and customs. Zak tells the audience not to forget about consumers who still use retail betting services, these consumers can still be transferred to digital verticals. Zak states that top tier B2B services will focus on creating multi-content seamless experience for consumers
  • On the subject of future sports betting products, Zak acknowledges that product development will be led by customer based personalisation as its key focal point.  However Zak further points out that developers  should not only driven by consumer choice and preference, but should further acknowledge the creation of seamless consumer access to multiple products.
