Gala Coral announced the launch and integration of the Bet-in-Play (BIP) retail betting solution by betting and gaming software provider OpenBet. The solution offers an in-play/ real time betting experience in a retail environment.
Designed for running on a self-service touchscreen tablet device, BIP enables cashless wagering on a range of betting opportunities available within the Coral retail shops. It will allow Coral customers to access instantly a wider range of markets, giving punters more flexibility in their betting than previously available.
It is the first cashless in-play wagering application available on the UK high street and, BIP works without need a of physical cash mechanism. The solution will also look to lower overhead costs for the Gala Coral’s UK retail betting operations.
OpenBet have programmed BIP to have rigorous age verification processes, to ensure underage protection, furthermore the solution has been integrated with Coral’s UK customer database to ensure ongoing player safety and protection.
The solution has been additionally programmed to the recently launched in-shop Coral rewards card – Coral Connect.
Coral group IT director Adrian Thompson said his company was determined to launch the product throughout all its retail stores.
