Mediatech Solutions appoints Moester as Head of Asia

Igaming and player management platform providers  Mediatech Solutions has moved to bolster its presence in the Asian market with the appointment of Tom Moester as general manager for the region.

Moester will assist the company’s chief executive Jessica Ordovas in establishing Mediatech’s base in Kuala Lumpur, with a remit to develop new business opportunities across the wider Asian market.

He will initially focus on the Association of South East Asean Nations (ASEAN) region, which includes the Philippines and Thailand.

The company is looking to hire additional operational and development staff in the region.

Moester has previously worked in government advisory roles and corporate finance as a project manager, most recently serving as a director of management consultancy firm Policy Research Corporation. He has previously held roles with Rothschild bank and the Dutch Ministry of Finance, working between the public and private sectors.

Commenting on Moester’s appointment Ordovas said she was proud to have someone of Moester’s calibre joining the Mediatech team to help drive growth in Asia.

“Tom’s background in both public and private sector fits perfectly with our focus on regulated territories and his analytical rigour is a huge asset as we hope to become one of the best-informed international gaming companies in the region,” Ordovas said.

Moester said he was joining Mediatech at a hugely exciting time for the company.“I am looking forward to working with both regulators and operators in what is the most vibrant gaming region in the world,” he continued. “We hope to bring some of the extensive experience the company has from the European market to bear over here, but understand that success will be in the adaptation to each market’s requirements and will focus to deliver a truly localized solution country by country.”
