Skrill Exit Canadian iGaming Market

skrillSkrill the online payment and transaction service provider, has confirmed that it will withdraw transaction services for igaming operators targeting Canada.

Skrill sent an email communication to igaming operators stating that from January 2nd 2014 transactions to operator products and website would be halted, Skrill looks to halt all gaming transactions by the 31st of January 2014.The payment services provider stated that it would notify all gaming customers who had made transaction on gaming operators from the region of Canada, advising customers to contact igaming operator customer services in order to find other services for payment and withdrawal transactions.

The processor had carefully studied its options regarding processing payments for igaming in the region, and had concluded that exiting transactions for igaming merchants was the  safest option for the company. Operators will be made aware if and when Skrill decide to re-enter the Canadian igaming market in the coming future.
