Is the igaming industry always slow to adopt the latest fads on the internet and for those of you that haven’t heard of the Pinterest – the virtual social pinboard website which lets you share images and bookmarking across the web is the most talked about site to hit 10 million unique visitors a month and is growing fast – real fast!
Infact the ‘other’ and second oldest business to gambling – the Porn Industry has spawned a plethora of ‘porn-esque‘ pinterest style clone websites like Snatchly – but why hasn’t the online gambling undustry – yet?
Pininterest, Porninterest – so what about sportsbets interest or Pokerinterest?
Surely somebody in the igaming social media landscape can explain why our industry is slow-to-react to new trends and the move away from Facebook to more social-based and needs based interest networks?
It would appear to us that a Sports or Bet style Pinterest websites would create a huge buzz within the ‘punters community’ as gamblers are opinionated and are always willing to share the highs and lows of winning-against-the-bookie, cashing chips at the casino or look for ‘tells’ at the poker table even for only affiliates driving traffic to operators websites..
And before you start registering those domains – Ras and I have already done so and are in the process of developing…. watch this space – lol.
