Spotlight Sports Group enhances audience engagement ahead of Euro 2020

Spotlight Sports Group intends to strengthen engagement with bettors via the launch of a bespoke Euro 2020 package ahead of the continental football championships this summer.

Based on short-form, pre-match tipping and available in 70 languages, Spotlight’s Euro 2020 package is specifically designed to reach a global audience and engage with customers in multiple territories.

‘It’s a huge summer of sport and we’re delighted to bring our industry-leading content to all customers for Euro 2020,” said Will Fyler, Head of Digital at Spotlight Sports Group.

“We’ve spoken to our partners and done some user testing on what tournament content should look and feel like and we’ve created bespoke packages suited to bookmakers needs.”

One of the primary features of the operator’s Euro 2020 package is an innovative wall chart, including a tournament guide and an integrated odds feed to provide up-to-date betting information for customers, as well as insights from Spotlight’s Chief Sports Writer Mark Langdon and other editorial specialists.

Fyler added: “The social and editorial content including our interactive wall chart is industry-leading and designed specifically to give bettors that key information to take them beyond the odds.”

Additionally, the group intends to launch betting focused data-led social media content, displaying tournament statistics through bespoke data visualisations, as well as carrying out graphical production of game-by-game statistical betting projections to better engage with audiences.

Lastly, the operator plans to use its Superfeed product to cover all Euro 2020 group and knockout fixtures, offering betting insights, projections and verdicts across customer platforms to enhance its bettor engagement capabilities. Superfeed was expanded earlier this month to cover American markets, providing betting and editorial data for all major US sports leagues.

Evolved from the Racing Post, Spotlight’s Euro 2020 customer engagement package follows the announcement last week of a new display screen for betting shops, featuring integrated content from the horse racing news outlet.
