Kaizen Gaming has strengthened its board with the appointment of Julio Iglesias Hernando as Chief Commercial Officer.
Hernando will bring considerable executive experience to the role, having held the position of Chief Marketing Officer for William Hill and Mr Green, where he was responsible for 12 international markets outside of the US and UK.
In addition to his bookmaking and iGaming experience, Hernando has also held positions with blue chip companies such as Heineken, Phillip Morris and Kellogs.
His appointment at Kaizen forms part of the firm’s strategic plan to add international experience to its management team as it moves forward with the expansion of its Betano brand. Hernando’s primary task will be to boost Kaizen’s commercial and CRM capacities.
“[I am] very happy and honored to become part of one of the fastest growing companies of the industry in Europe,” Hernando remarked.
“I am looking forward to contributing to our ongoing success in positioning Kaizen as a leading player in our operating markets, and in leveraging the International opportunities and challenges that will no doubt arise, in our pursuit to continue growing aggressively our foothold in the international GameTech arena.”
Kaizen currently operates in six countries via the Stoiximan brand in Greece and Cyprus and the Betano brand in Germany, Portugal, Brazil and Romania.
In addition, the company has developed a strong sports sponsorship portfolio with various competitions, clubs and athletes, such as Brasilero Serie A team Atlético Mineiro.
George Daskalakis, CEO of Kaizen Gaming, said: “I am glad to welcome Julio to Kaizen. I am confident that his experience, talent and drive along with his positive character and team spirit will contribute to our ongoing effort to establish ourselves as one of the leading companies in the industry on an international level.”
Hernando joins Kaizen shortly after the operator recruited Claus Jansson as its new Head of Affiliate Marketing and Buying. Jannson has taken resposibility for overseeing the international expansion plans for both the Betano and Stoiximan brands.
