Kindred promotes Andreas Reimblad to group sportsbook lead

Kindred Group Plc has confirmed the internal promotion of Andreas Reimblad who will assume the senior management position of Group Head of Sportsbook.

Reimblad will take over from former incumbent Erik Backlund, who was promoted to Chief Product Officer (CPO) of the Stockholm-listed online gambling group last year.

Mirroring his predecessor, Kindred stated that Reimblad had proven his capacity and skillset by working across all core business segments of Kindred’s multi-brand sportsbook portfolio.

Reimblad began his Kindred career in 2008 where he served as a Malta customer service agent. He was then quickly transferred to the firm’s Unibet product management team.

Considered to be a fast-rising talent, Reimblad has worked on key sportsbook projects and group-wide upgrades, formerly serving as Kindred sportsbook development manager and Head of Sportsbook Product Development.

Since 2019, Reimblad has served as Head of Sportsbook Operations and Product Management leading the firm’s flagship division through a number of system cycles for Kindred new market launches.

Kindred remarked that Reimblad’s journey highlighted the firm’s capacity to develop talent and promote leadership from within its ranks.

I am extremely excited to get the opportunity to lead this talented team spread across the globe and with local footprints in so many different markets,” Reimblad commented on his appointment.

“We are leaving a year with a lot of ups and downs, but both I and the team are thrilled to enter what looks to be an amazing sports year on paper

“It is an exciting time for the group and for Sportsbook, with opportunities in U.S, focus on product excellence and development, continuous changes in the business landscape and a never-ending evolution around data”
