Philadelphia 76ers announce BetMGM as Official Betting Partner

BetMGM has been named the Official Betting Partner of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Philadelphia 76ers, shortly after the mobile casino and sportsbook app’s Pennsylvania debut.

The recent agreement will see the firm launch a range of 76ers branded casino games, in addition to featuring across all of the team’s digital and social media platforms including the official 76ers app.

In addition, the betting operator will have prominent signing during nationally televised 76ers games, including the BetMGM logo on the pole pads beneath the baskets.

BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer, Matt Prevost, commented: “We’re honored to be an Official Sports Betting Partner of the 76ers.

“Our recent launch in Pennsylvania has been incredibly successful and this partnership is an exciting opportunity for BetMGM to offer 76ers fans unique ways to engage with their favourite basketball team.”

BetMGM was formed out of a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain Plc, offering sports betting and online gaming products.

Outside the basketball courts, the deal will see MGM Resorts’ Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey become the “Official Away Game Host of the Philadelphia 76ers.”

The venue will host on site events when safe to do so, most notably a co-branded Season Ticket and VIP event in the future featuring casino games, guest appearances by iconic 76ers players, signed memorabilia raffles and other exclusive prizes.

The Philadelphia 76ers will play its first match of the 2020/21 season on 23 December against the Washington Wizards.

This late start in the year is due to the NBA’s COVID-19 prevention measures, which has also seen the season reduced to 72 games.
