Romania’s ONJN adds 20 sites to blacklist

Oficiul Național pentru Jocuri de Noroc (ONJN), the national gambling office of Romania, has added a further 20 sites to its ‘blacklist’ of unauthorised gaming sites.

The sites added to the blacklist includes, a domain that links to Bet365, as well as,,, and Megaslot.

The regulator confirmed that each of the sites added must be blocked by Romanian internet service providers ‘within 15 days’ of notification from the ONJN.

Visitors to the blocked sites will be redirected to a page which states: “Your access to this site has been restricted by the National Gambling Office.”

The ONJN has maintained its blacklist since 2015, having launched ahead of the country opening its regulated online gambling market in 2016.

In May 2020, the regulator blocked 57 gambling sites as it continues to tackle non-compliant operators.

The companies that have been added to the blacklist may lodge a complaint regarding the decision within 30 days and can be challenged at the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
