Fortuna and STS win big at Polish Bookmaker Awards

Fortuna and STS dominated the second annual Polish Bookmaker Awards, organised by one of the country’s largest affiliate sites Legalni Bukmacherzy.

This year, there were 11 categories in total, which included five additional new categories from the inaugural edition. Market leaders Fortuna and STS received eight of the 11 between them.

Similarly to last year, Fortuna was recognised as the Best Polish Bookmaker at the ceremony hosted in the Warsaw’s Hotel InterContinental.

The operator also picked up Best Social Campaign, an award designed to recognise the bookmaker which did the most for the local community over the last year.

It gave 0.30 Euros to all spectators, in all stadiums of all Polish Second Division matches. This could then be donated to a charitable foundation at the end of the season.

Fortuna CEO Konrad Komarczuk said: “I am very proud of my team who did a great job last year. Retaining the main award proves that we’re going in a good direction.”

Meanwhile, FORBET – Poland’s third-largest sportsbook by market share – was also recognised at the ceremony after receiving the prize for Best Odds.

The best debut award was given to Betclic, following its ‘strong marketing campaign’ which helped differentiate the operator from the competition.
