SBTech awarded prestigious ISO 27001 certification

Industry technology and platform provider, SBTech, has been awarded a coveted ISO 27001 certification by The International Organisation for Standardisation for data management and protection.

The supplier achieved the highest possible commendation for its information security management capabilities after an independent audit across its data security infrastructure, network capabilities and entire product was carried out.

The audit found that SBTech demonstrated its systematic approach to managing and protecting company and customer data effectively.

Celebrating the new accolade, SBTech CEO Richard Carter said: “Receiving the ISO certification is a fantastic achievement and underlines our meticulous approach to managing and protecting company and customer data, further reinforcing SBTech as a trusted supplier to some of the world’s largest and most significant operators in the regulated iGaming industry.

“Data security is crucial to the success of our business and our customers’ businesses and our expert teams work around the clock to ensure we offer the highest levels of service possible. This award is testament to their talent and dedication.”

The certification recognised SBTech as offering the highest specification of information security, data protection and data management available. Receiving the recognition demonstrates that SBTech has been compliant with stringent security controls for information protection.

The ISO 27001 accreditation identifies exact requirements and specifications for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). An ISMS consists of a framework of policies and procedures, including legal physical and technical controls, that is involved in a company’s information risk management processes.
