Metric and Nektan to provide turnkey US sports betting solution

Metric Gaming and Nektan have joined forces to provide a turnkey horse racing and sports betting solution for the US market.

These services will be offered through the Rapid Games™ platform from Respin LLC, Nektan’s US operating subsidiary. Rapid Games is the US casino gaming industry’s only independently certified Class II and Class III On-Premises mobile platform.

Integrating to Rapid, a server-based gaming solution offering Casino Content, Instant Win and Virtual Sports games, will bring a second screen experience to any device on the casino floor, including Self Service Terminals, Interactive Tables and Video Screens.

Last year, Rapid Games announced its first major contract with a Tier-1 US casino operator, and has subsequently secured a number of additional contracts as well as moving to an operational phase with a casino in North California.

Rapid CEO Daniel de Waal commented: “We are delighted to be offering Metric Gaming’s dynamic turnkey horse racing and sports betting solutions which, when integrated into the Rapid Games™ platform, is a perfect fit for the US market.

It will elegantly accommodate on-premise gaming for customers, who inevitably demand the ease and enhanced functionality on any device of their choosing while offering them unrivalled betting options. With Metric’s solution integrated directly, Rapid Games™ has become a true one-stop shop for all gaming content on the Casino property.”

Metric CEO Martin de Knijff added: “Last week’s Supreme Court decision signals a sea change in the U.S. and for the global sports betting industry. Metric has been preparing for this massive opportunity since its inception and has been wholly focused on providing players with the largest set of betting options on the widest range of devices.

“Rapid’s fully approved, server based, ‘any device’ content platform represents exactly what casinos are looking for to manage content on their floor and in particular, to give their patrons maximum optionality and convenience when it comes to a Metric powered sports book.”

Gary Shaw, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Nektan, said: “With last week’s Supreme Court decision, the combination of Metric’s leading sports and race products, and Nektan’s Rapid Games Mobile Casino, creates a large opportunity for both companies working in partnership.

“The sector will look to a combination of sports and casino and having a partner combining both will create additional opportunities for both companies.”
