Kambi continues LatAM expansion

Sports betting provider Kambi has deepened its relationship with media conglomerate Televisa, through the debut of its sportsbook to the Mexican online market.

Televisa’s gaming arm PlayCity has unveiled its new sports betting site, and the launch of PlayCityApuestas.com follows last year’s deal, which saw 16 of its land based casinos furnished with the retail product suite of Kambi.

Kristian Nylen, Chief Executive of Kambi, said:  “I’m delighted that PlayCity is now live with Kambi’s online sports betting solution.

“The response to Kambi’s retail product has illustrated a real thirst among PlayCity players for a high-quality sportsbook offering and we are confident that, together with PlayCity, we can make the online sportsbook an even greater success.”

Following the successful land based roll out, the Nasdaq Stockholm listed Kambi Group has integrated its sportsbook solution into PlayCity’s platform, which has enabled the product to be offered via both online and mobile channels.

A social media and digital marketing campaign, supported by PlayCity, has also been launched with Television and other marketing channels to follow.

This latest expansion into Latin America follows a deal with Colombian gambling group Corredor Empresarial, in which Kambi secured a full services deal which included providing a sportsbook for its new BetPlay brand.
