Mr Green selects Michael Vaughan as cricket ‘Sports Gent’

European online gambling group Mr Green has announced the appointment of former England Cricket Captain Michael Vaughan as its first ever ‘Sports Gent’ for sports betting subsidiary Mr Green Sports Betting.

Confirming the appointment of Vaughan, one of England Cricket’s most successful captains, Mr Green  seeks to further establish its presence within the ultra-competitive UK online sports betting market.

Enda Gaffney Head of Sportsbook for Mr Green detailed that Vaughan would be sharing his expertise and opinion across Mr Green social media platforms.

Vaughan will be previewing busy summer of cricket for the England team, as it prepares for the One Day ‘Champions Trophy’ and summer Test Matches series against South Africa and the West Indies.

“We’re delighted to partner with Michael Vaughan. Michael fits the brand perfectly as he’s a gentleman himself with great insight and opinions on various sports, not just cricket.  This type of deal will see us better engage our players via exclusive content and further add to the entertaining experience at Mr Green.” Gaffney stated

Vaughan is further recognised as one of the leading commentators on international cricket having worked for the BBC, Sky and Channel 5 sports.

Michael Vaughan commented on promoting Mr Green as Sports Gent; “Mr Green has that unique smartness to how they do things, and that’s what I like about them. I’m into my sport and like the occasional fun little bet so hopefully I can get involved and help some punters win a few quid.”

“Mr Green is just that little bit different and that’s what I like about them. There are some great sporting events coming up over the next few months, from the British Lions tour to the Ashes, the Premier League will be back before we know it, and I’m looking forward to giving out some great tips and offers.”
