Paf has announced that they will employ Per Sahlberg as its new CFO. Sahlberg, who has been recruited from online gaming developer Tain, will start in his new role on October 1.

Per Sahlberg, 41, will leave Tain after almost 9 years in the job. He has built up considerable experience in the industry, having also served as CFO for two other online gaming companies, Atletico Nordic and Expekt.com.

As of October, he will be based in Paf’s main office in Mariehamn.

Christer Fahlstedt, CEO of Paf, said: “Per Sahlberg has a breadth of expertise in the area of finance and extensive experience in the gaming industry which will enhance Paf’s business in an effective manner. Per and I have also worked together for the last 12 years, so I know from experience that he is an extremely knowledgeable and competent person.”

Sahlberg’s appointment will see current CFO Johan Rothberg become a Deputy CEO for the company and shift his focus to business development, while Paf’s HR Director Johanna Backholm will also remain as Deputy CEO.

Fahlstedt continued: “Johan Rothberg has an extensive and unique knowledge of Paf as a company and of the gaming industry as a whole. He knows the organisation inside and out and is therefore well suited to increasing our focus on business development and translating it into business benefits for Paf.”
