Gearing up for this summer’s Euro 2016 championships, Amaya Inc interim CEO Rafi Ashkenazi has detailed that betting subsidiary BetStars will launch its services in Italy and France.
Updating Amaya investors, Ashkenazi declared that BetStars further European expansion was ‘imminent’ with the brand ready to launch in Italy and France by the start of Euro 2016 (10 June).
Following BetStars full UK launch in January, Ashkenazi stated that Amaya governance had been impressed with the initial market response to its new brand.
The Toronto TSX-listed operator had committed a £10 million marketing budget to promoting BetStars and its unique ‘Spin and Bet’ functionality.
Amaya will look to replicate the initial success of its UK launch in Italy and France promoting the ‘Spin and Bet’ innovation. Ashkenazi further stated that Amaya was constantly looking at ways to improve its online betting product’s user engagement and features as the company looks to establish itself as a key player in European sports betting
Following BetStars’ launches in Italy and France, the operator will look to open its betting services in Denmark and Portugal dependent on licensing.
