1000th employee joins Sky Betting & Gaming

1000th EmployeeSky Betting & Gaming have announced that they have reached a milestone of 1,000 employees by hiring Software Engineer Nándor Szentpéteri, who joins the company’s Gaming Tribe. The announcement comes after record expansion across the last 5 months.

The growth follows a 36% rise in revenue to £247m posted in the 12-months to June 2015, with further positive results anticipated for the next financial reporting period to be announced in summer 2016.

Richard Flint, Sky Betting & Gaming CEO, said: “Yorkshire is undoubtedly one of the best locations to develop a digital career and I wish Nándor all the very best in his new role. We’re really pleased that some of the best talent from across the region and further afield sees the enormous potential on offer here at Sky Betting & Gaming.”

Sky Betting and Gaming moved to its headquarters in the heart of the city in 2010 and subsequently expanded to Sheffield’s Electric Works tech hub in May 2015. The company has been independent for just over a year, since Sky sold its majority share to CVC Capital Partners.

After just eleven months of independence, the firm became the first betting and gaming company to make the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies list and also extended its title sponsorship of the UK Football League until 2018/19.
