Ladbrokes expects Special K to shine this weekend

Kell ‘Special K’ Brook goes up against Kevin Bizier in Sheffield this weekend and Ladbrokes are anticipating a routine win for the IBF welterweight champion.

Brook’s record (35-0-0, 24 knockouts) speaks for itself and the 29 year old has his eye on a showdown with Amir Khan after this one. First up though is Bizier who has a record of 25-2-0, with 16 knockouts.

Ladbrokes’ Spokesman Adam Williamson is of the opinion that Brook will win the fight in the middle rounds.

He said: “Bizier looks durable but pretty one-dimensional and I’d expect Brook to get him out of there by the middle rounds. Brook between rounds 5-8 at 6/4 appeals.”

Brook’s fight history suggests otherwise and states that the third round is when he’s most dangerous with six knock outs in third rounds in the past. Odds are at 9/1 with Ladbrokes for him to do the same again.

Williamson also discussed who he thinks Brook might fight next: “Manny Pacquiao is taking on Timothy Bradley again, Keith Thurman is due to face Shawn Porter and Amir Khan is fighting Saul Alvarez at Middleweight in May so Kell’s options are limited.”

He continued: “Potential big fights against Danny Garcia or Lamont Peterson look possible but Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn would have to pay them big bucks to get them over to the UK to fight.”
