NetBet, the online betting partner of West Bromwich Albion, is looking to leverage its partnership with the Premier League club by encouraging them to participate in the #MakeSomeNoise campaign.

An official survey compiled by the Press Association in November 2014 rated Baggies fans as joint second loudest fans in the league, in terms of decibels, together with Stoke City and Spurs, behind surprising winners Manchester United.

In order to shake up this league, Netbet intends to help the fans top the table or at least secure second spot in the table outright through a strategic pincer movement of noise generation. The Netbet van and girls intend to target their key noise competitors by cheering on West Brom and handing out megaphones around Old Trafford for the away game with Manchester United on Saturday. Netbet also intends to #MakeSomeNoise on 5th December for the Spurs home clash and the battle with Stoke on 2nd January 2016.

John Holmer, Chairman of the Albion Official Supporter Club said: “This is a fun initiative that we are supporting. Helping bringing more passion and enthusiasm to the stadium from a fan point of view is very positive for the game. We have amazing and committed supporters here at WBA and we would love to see them topping the noise level chart”.

Nathan Carr, founder of the popular independent WBA fan twitter account Baggies Galore, added: “What’s not to like about any campaign to lift West Brom up the table and raise the noise levels home and away? We are the loudest in the Midlands so let’s aim to be the loudest in the country!”

Leading the Netbet #MakeSomeNoise campaign is Master of Ceremonies Greg Scott. “Studies show Manchester United fans at Old Trafford typically measure 83.00 dB – we don’t understand why they have been proclaimed as the loudest in the league: after all it is hard to cheer when your mouth is stuffed with a prawn sandwich! According to United’s own statistics, it has over 108 million supporters in China alone – perhaps they should be thinking about translating football chants into Cantonese to help in their noise efforts! The campaign will show what noise real football fans make!”

The Netbet #MakeSomeNoise campaign has been out in force regularly at The Hawthorns this season and also during the Rugby World Cup. The quest to #MakeSomeNoise also saw a real tank parked on Jose Mourinho’s lawn at Stamford Bridge last Saturday ahead of Chelsea’s defeat by Liverpool.

The big gun moves to the Emirates to target the Gunners on the 8th November, taking aim at White Hart Lane on 22nd November and then into Central London itself in early December.
