A new and unique interactive service is launching on Scottish terrestrial broadcaster STV this month, bringing together television, mobile and online betting.

Interactive gaming service Win Cash Live will broadcast across Scotland daily, coming on air after midnight for two hours. STV’s city TV channels STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh will also broadcast the programme every night after 11pm for three hours.

Viewers will be able to interact and play directly with the presenters live on the show. Former ITV This Morning presenter Andy Hodgson will be co-hosting the new show with ex-Bucks Fizz band member Sally Jacks. The core of the entertainment is provided by simple betting markets, eg how far will Andy Murray go at Wimbledon, but in order to keep it simple the operator has stripped out any of the usual terminology associated with betting.

The betting markets will also concentrate on the ‘novelty’ themes, such as The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and Top Gear. Viewers can play on TV via a premium rate telephone line, mobile and online.

As well as betting markets, there are video-led games include ‘Spin Cash Live’ – where the viewer can win on a spin of the reels – and ‘Win Cash Dice, when a toss of the dice could make a winner. There are ‘no hidden bits, no confusion’, so even the newest player will understand how to play.

Viewers will be able to play along with as little as £1.53 by calling during a game, or registering to play with their own money at wincashlive.com.

Founder of Win Cash Live, Ashley Faull, said: “We’re delighted to be launching our world first service to viewers of STV. We think they’ll love the daily topical and exclusive games. Viewers can interact with us live every night and tell us what games they’d like to play too.”

Co-host and former ITV This Morning presenter Andy Hodgson, said: “If sport is more your thing, you can try and win by predicting winners of games including football, tennis and rugby.“

Bobby Hain, Director of Channels at STV, added: “We’re looking forward to partnering with Win Cash Live. STV viewers will have the exciting opportunity to interact live with the host while playing entertaining and fun games from the comfort of their homes.”
