Reporting on its Q1 2015 opening, European Sports betting operator mybet recorded a slight year-on-year rise in revenues to €18.3 million.
The operator revealed that due to player margin impacts in February and March, mybet’s improvements in product wagering and efficiencies had not been reflected in the operators revenues and earnings.
Company governance was pleased with the operator’s solid start to 2015, which had seen a positive increase in betting wagering by 14% on Q1 2014. The operator stated that it had maintained strong active player numbers during the period.
mybet governance further highlighted improved mobile wagering activity which accounted for 14% of sports betting revenues.
Sven Ivo Brinck, CEO of mybet Holding SE, was positive about the future prospects:
“We are obviously disappointed that the high level of customer activity is not yet reflected in the result. But we succeeded in activating new and existing customers satisfactorily for the first time in this first quarter. With the change project moving up a gear, we will see a permanent improvement in customer loyalty and in the revenue volume at our shops.”
Mybet announced in its update that it will “comprehensively” overhaul its sports betting product range through a new partnership with software solutions and products provider Amelco. The operator stated that the decision to upgrade its services and use proprietary products will help the operator make up ground on its competitors in the market.
