Industry news source EGR Magazine has reported that Ladbrokes has expanded its European marketing team by appointing former Unibet France Country Manager Gildas Tanguy as Digital Director for its Belgian operations.
The appointment of Tanguy as head of digital for Belgium is set to free up International Marketing Director Ian Catchick position to focus on core digital operations outlined by new Ladbrokes CEO Jim Mullen
Catchick had been temporarily managing Ladbrokes Belgium operations, since the operators launch in May 2014. The Ladbrokes digital re-shuffle will see Catchick focus on the operators struggling Irish division which has been placed under review.
Catchick has seen the launch of several of Ladbrokes international brands, including Spanish sports betting brand Sportium.es
Gildas Tungay will strategically work from Belgium as the Ladbrokes looks to expand its presence in the market, Tungay will report to Ladbrokes Belgium Director Alex Murphy,
