European sports betting operator Tipico are set to replace Bayern Munich long term partner bwin.com, as official sports betting partner to the Bavaria football club who are current Bundesliga champions.

The Malta based operator is preparing to step in as official sports betting partner to Bayern Munich, as bwin senior management have confirmed that it will not renew its existing partnership with FC Bayern Munich.

German football news website Fussball24.de, reported that Tipico were preparing a bold four year partnership with Bayern Munich worth up to €5.5 million per season.

The deal would represent Tipico’s largest sponsorship/partnership investment as the sports betting brands looks to continue its expansion in Germany and Austria. Tipico already has sponsorship deals in place across the Bundesliga, notably with Hamburger SV and FC Hoffenheim.

FC Bayern Munich are Germany’s best supported and most successful football club in German football, FC Bayern Munich are current Bundesliga leaders (8 points clear). The football club plays its matches at the Allianz Arena (capacity – 75,000). Deutsche Telekom are the clubs current official shirt sponsor
