Ladbrokes has begun its search for a replacement to outgoing Chief Executive Officer Richard Glynn, who will leave the operator in April 2015. London city analysts and commentators have speculated that Ladbrokes Plc will likely look for an external replacement for Glynn.

Glynn ends a five year tenure at the helm of the FTSE 250 operator. Appointed in April of 2010, Glynn had been tasked with turning around the operator’s performance and creating a marketing leading services for its igaming and online sports betting divisions.

Throughout Glynn’s tenure, Ladbrokes performance woes had been well documented, the company had posted six consecutive interims declines before its latest Q3 2014 results which saw the operator post profits of £33 million.

The successor to Glynn will likely continue Ladbrokes focus on growing its online business division. The operator is further keen to expand its business services to international markets, highlighting Australia and Western European expansion as key to its future growth strategy.

Ladbrokes governance have yet to comment of the search procedure for Glynn’s replacement, however UK business news sources have stated that Ladbrokes will utilise specialist search executive consultancies to find a replacement.
