German online sports betting operator mybet Holdings has announced the agreement of a betting partnership with popular German sports newspaper BILD. The agreement between the two parties will see mybet deliver special odds and promotions on Bundesliga 2014/2015 matches to BILD readership.
The operator’s sports betting product will promote on both BILD digital and media publications. BILD, Germany biggest distributed sports tabloid, has an estimated daily readership of 2.5 million readers. The sports daily is owned and operated by Axel Springer AG and operated out of Berlin.
Florian Güde, Online Marketing Director at mybet, said: “We are very pleased with our integration into BILD for the Bundesliga.
“It gives our attractive bets and odds a much greater reach, and we are confident of substantially increasing our market shares in the German-speaking world.”
Mybet were one of the twenty sports betting operators to receive a German sports betting licence from the Hesse Ministry of the Interior and Sport. However last week German sports betting licensing was suspended following administrative complaints from declined operators to the Wiesbaden Court.
German news sources believe that German sports betting licensing could face further delays of up to a year.
Mybet senior management have yet to make a comment on the company’s position following the stall in sports betting licensing
