Gibraltar news sources stated that Stan James’ corporate management have held talks with a number of rivals over a sale of its betting and gaming assets.
The news sources did not identify the biding parties involved, however a deal for the operator is now said to be imminent, with a Malta licensed operator said to be close to finalising an acquisition for the UK bookmaker, according to report at EGR Magazine.
Stan James announced this Monday, that it had reduced staff count of its Gibraltar operational arm, as the operator enters potential sale talks.
The potential sale of Stan James, has been well documented in Gibraltar, as the operators senior management have carried out numerous cost saving measures, in order to make its operations more attractive for sale.
Earlier this year the bookmaker had reduced the size of its trading team, making 11 sports traders redundant.
Stan James management have yet to make a comment on its latest round of redundancies
