William Hill have announced the appointment of Isaac Ward ex Paddy Power’s Head of iGaming, as Commercial Director of William Hill-owned Australian igaming brand TomWaterhouse.com

Ward will return to his native Australia to take up the role, which begins in January next year and is currently on gardening leave following his departure from Paddy Power, where he has worked for the past three years.

Ward joined the operator in August 2010 as games P&L manager, before taking on the head of iGaming role in the company reshuffle that followed former chief operating officer Breon Corcoran’s departure to Betfair.

Prior to joining Paddy Power, he spent just under three years at Sportingbet, joining in 2007 as head of casino and games, before moving to head of acquisition.

Commenting on his new role Ward described Tom Waterhouse as “one of the fastest growing sports betting businesses in Australia – the fastest if looking at customer growth,” adding that it was “a great opportunity to work with Tom and the team.”

Following months of press speculation, the AUD$110m (€74.7m) deal was confirmed in August this year, with the business’ rapid growth described as offering its parent company William Hill a complimentary customer base alongside the proven platform acquired through Sportingbet Australia.
