Sports betting technology provider Power 8 has confirmed that it has acquired the naming rights to Barcelona based football club Espanyol’s Stadium for the upcoming 2014-2015 La Liga football season.
The sponsorship deal is set to run for a seven year period – 2014-15 season until 2020-21. From August 2014 Espanyol’s Estadi Cornella-El Prat will now be known as the Estadi Power8.
As stadium partner of Espanyol, the sports betting provider will further benefit from a range of in stadium marketing and branding assets including prominent match day banners throughout the stadium.
Espanyol FC president Joan Collet confirmed the sponsorship partnership with the sports betting supplier. Stating that agreeing a naming rights deal for the stadium was one of the key objectives for the Catalan football club.

Power8 is familiar with the football sponsorship market having enjoyed partnerships with Everton and Fulham during the 2013-14 English Premier League campaign.
