President’s Trust initiative added to Parimatch CSR programme

Parimatch has today met with H.E President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, to welcome the President’s Trust into its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

The President’s Trust is an initiative designed to empower Maltese citizens who, due to their life circumstances, are unemployed, marginalized or at risk of poverty.

The meeting, which took place at the end of Malta Week featuring SiGMA, was used to discuss how the company could collaborate to support the Maltese economy and society.

A donation will be made by Parimatch as part of its global CSR programme, which supports over 20 initiatives across Parimatch’s international footprint with a vision of using the power of sport and education to better the lives of the underprivileged.

Katerina Belorusskaya, Head of Investor Relations and CSR at Parimatch, said: “We were honoured to have the opportunity to meet Her Excellency to discuss our shared aspirations in many areas, including addressing social exclusion.”

She added: “We are happy to be making this contribution to the President’s Trust which is a worthy cause that plays such an important role in the Maltese society.”

Malta is recognised as a European hub for betting with over 500 online operators registered on the Island. The sector represents over 12% of the Maltese economy, employing over 9,000 people.
