Coljuegos sanctions tender for Super Astro draw game

Coljuegos, the regulatory authority for Colombian gambling, has sanctioned a competitive tender for the concession to service its ‘Super Astro’ draw-based game.

Super Astro is a popular horoscope themed mini lotto draw-based game which has been operated by Colombian national lottery operator Corredor Empresarial SA since 2015. Super Astro draws are televised weekly across Colombian provisional TV networks.

Issuing a market update, Coljuegos governance confirms that it has launched a new Super Astro concession set to a period of five years, with the authority seeking to announce its winner by the end of the year.

Coljuegos will publish all tender conditions and competitor terms on the Colombian government’s ‘SECOP’ industry website.

“This is a game that has gained a growing space in the gambling market and has generated very important resources for the health of Colombians,” said Coljuegos President, Juan Pérez Hidalgo.

Current incumbent Corredor Empresarial, which acts as the lead supplier of lottery products for all of Colombia’s thirty-two provinces and is recognised as South America’s ‘largest games of chance operator’, has yet to confirm whether it will choose to compete in the Coljuegos tender for Super Astro.
