Updating the market, New York-listed gambling technology supplier IGT Group has confirmed that it has secured a seven-year contract extension as lead systems provider for the Californian Lottery (Calottery).
The agreement will see IGT continue to service player management and shop terminal provisions for the Calottery (flagship product), with its extension in place until October 2026.
The Californian Lottery has been a partner of IGT since 1986. At present the Calottery is the second biggest US lottery, generating approximately $91.4 billion in sales, and contributing nearly $31 billion to public education since its inception in 1985.
A pleased Jay Gendron IGT Group Senior VP of North America commented on the extension “IGT and the California Lottery have enjoyed a long and successful partnership for more than three decades. We have assisted the Lottery in increasing sales and funds for education exponentially over the past several years, including in its most recent audited fiscal year with lottery sales of $6.276 billion and $1.587 billion returned to education,”
The extension will see IGT provide a number of upgrades for the Californian Lottery, including its new backend reporting system Aurora alongside IGT OpenRetail a new retail single application retail software.
