Tabcorp international racing subsidiary Sky Racing World has extended its broadcast coverage in the South American market by announcing a content partnership with Buenos Aires racetrack Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo.

The Louisville (Kentucky) based firm is set to provide simulcasts from races taking place at the Hipodromo and broadcast the content to its syndicated racing content partners in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Sky Racing World add the Buenos Aires racetrack to its existing South American broadcast portfolio which includes Codere Brasil racing.

The content distributor will begin to broadcast racing content from the Palermo track to the Southern Hemisphere and North American markets in April 2016. The company is scheduled to announce additional international partnerships later in H1 2016.

“The races at the Palermo track in Buenos Aires are among the highest quality in all of South America, a region where horse-racing is growing in popularity,” said David Haslett, President and CEO of Sky Racing World.

“We’re excited to partner with Palermo to bring these top-tier races to our core market of North America, whose time zones complement the Buenos Aires racing schedule, as well as the core Australasian markets of our parent company Tabcorp.”
