French national lottery operator Francaise des Jeux (FDJ) has confirmed that it has extended its sponsorship of professional cycling team ‘France World Tour’ until 2018.
FDJ have supported the team who cycle under the name ‘Equipe FDJ’ since its inception in 1997.
The conformation of FDJ’s continued partnership was announced at a press conference in Paris this Thursday, as Equipe FDJ revealed its cycling roster and ambitions for 2016.
FDJ governance were pleased to renew its oldest sporting partnership, the lottery operator was further content to continue working with French cycling figurehead Marc Madiot, who acts as team founder and principal of Equipe FDJ.
Entering its 22nd cycling season as sponsor France World Tour, FDJ governance stated that it would continue to invest in the development of national cycling initiatives. The lottery operator estimates that it has invested + €5 billion in French sports development over the last thirty years
