Fortuna Entertainment appoints Darren Lovern as CMO

Fortuna Entertainment Group, continues to focus on international expansion by announcing the appointment of Darren Lovern as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Lovern joins the Eastern European bookmaker from Paddy Power where he was Head of Online Sports Betting (2009 – 2015).

The hire of Lovern as CMO continues new CEO Per Widerstrom corporate re-structure as Fortuna Entertainment looks to expand and establish its services as Eastern Europe’s leading online and retail bookmaker.

Lovern has relocated to Fortuna head offices in Prague (Czech Rep) and will report directly to Widerstrom. Lovern will be responsible for the performance and strategy international marketing projects in core Fortuna territories which include Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.

Lovern will represent a key appointment for Widerstrom, who has previously outlined that digital growth in established and new markets will be critical factors to the operator’s future growth strategy.

Lovern is further expected to play a key role in the development of multi-product and omni channel competencies following a major investment in its retail betting division in 2014.
