Arena Racing Company (ARC) has announced the promotion of Kieran Gallagher as Executive Director of Doncaster Racecourse.
Gallagher has been General Manager of Doncaster Racecourse for the last year and before that oversaw catering and events at the racecourse for the previous four years.
Gallagher succeeds Mark Spincer who has been Managing Director of Doncaster Racecourse since 2010. For the past year Mark Spincer has been undertaking both leadership of Doncaster Racecourse as well as Assistant Operations Director for ARC. Spincer will now focus entirely on his group role but continue to be based at Doncaster Racecourse for a couple of days a week.
Simon Lane, ARC Operations Director, said: “We are delighted to be able to promote Kieran who has proved himself more than capable of leading one of ARC’s flagship racecourses. Mark has been a brilliant Managing Director and I know he will continue to be invaluable member of the ARC team as he takes on a full-time role for the group.”
Mark Spincer, ARC Assistant Operations Director, said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Managing Director of Doncaster Racecourse but am looking forward to the opportunities a full-time group role offers to me. Kieran is well placed to lead the great team at Doncaster Racecourse and I know he’ll thoroughly enjoy the role and make a great success of it.”
Kieran Gallagher, Doncaster Racecourse Executive Director, said: “Having been part of the Doncaster Racecourse team for five years and I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Executive Director. I have learnt a lot from working with Mark and would like to thank him and everyone on the ARC team for their support. All of us at Doncaster Racecourse are looking forward to a great year of racing in 2015.”
