Match fixing & betting key agendas at Soccerex Africa Forum

The Soccerex African Forum, 4-5 November, Durban, South Africa, will feature leading African sports governance figures discussing impacts and strategies on match fixing and sports corruption within African football.

Soccerex have confirmed Sam Nyamweya, President of the Kenya Football Federation (KFF) and Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the Ghana Football Association as key football governance speakers attending the forum.

The leaders of the African football federations will discuss the challenges and commercial impacts facing African football and its potential growth.

The Durban conference sessions will offer delegates a first-hand hearing of the issues confronting African football with regards to match fixing and regulation of football betting in African federations.

The sessions will further discuss strategies for combating potential sports corruption, which will include an overview of markets, policing/monitoring practices, financial balances and insight on player salaries. .

Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie said: “It is a privilege to have National FA presidents speaking at the Forum. The scope of information available to our delegates is immense, coming from such a diverse array of leading continental figures. I’m looking forward to hearing how the relationships between stakeholders in African nations differ.”
