Specialist horseracing broadcaster Racing UK has signed a sponsorship deal with one of the brightest emerging stars among the ranks of Britain’s jockeys, Harry Bentley.
The agreement will see Bentley in Racing UK branding, as well as making regular appearances on the TV channel, and partaking in marketing and digital campaigns. Bentley will join Ruby Walsh and Aidan Coleman (Jumps)
as one of three jockey ambassadors for Racing UK, which pays all its profits to its racecourse shareholders.
Bentley said: “I am delighted to be joining Racing UK and linking up with a racing partner who supports and invests in the industry. I am keen to raise my profile further and see Racing UK as an excellent fit.”
The rider is on Medicean Man in the big Group 1 sprint on the opening day of Royal Ascot today, the King’s Stand Stakes, and said: “He seems to be in the form of his life, having ran a career best to come a close fourth on the Dubai World Cup card in March. He loves Ascot, having won at the course three times before and was fourth in this race before. He could run a big race.”
Racing UK’s Director of Marketing, Clive Cottrell, added: “Harry is an articulate and amenable young sportsman, who is tremendously ambitious. Racing UK has always been a big supporter of jockeys and the PJA, and it’s especially important to support some of the younger riders. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
