Praesepe, owners of the 160 venue Cashino brand of adult gaming centres, has announced the appointment of Simon Gudgeon to the post of Northern Operations Manager. The former Development Director of Odeon Cinemas joins colleague Steve Ambrose who is responsible for the Cashino centres in the South of the country.
Heralding the appointments, Nick Harding, Chief Executive of Praesepe said: “I am delighted to be able to welcome Simon back some 20 years after he last worked for me as a Regional Director for Rank Seasonal Amusements. He brings with him vast experience of the leisure, amusements and gaming sectors in this country and most importantly a ‘can do’ attitude, which is a pre-requisite to work on what is the most dynamic AGC brand on the UK high street.
“Our strength in the North and Scotland is echoed in the South of the country which is being looked after by Steve Ambrose whose career with Praesepe has been underpinned by a compelling mix of dedication and professionalism. I am certain that both Steve and Simon will maintain the exacting standards of customer care and the provision of safe, socially responsible gaming entertainment for which the Cashino brand is rightly famous.”
The restructuring is being brought about due to the departure of Stephen Lawrence who has ended a 23-year span working for Nick Harding in order to develop business interests overseas. Paying tribute, Nick Harding said: “Stephen Lawrence made a huge contribution to what we have been able to achieve over the last two decades. He was full of energy, totally committed to the cause and seldom missed a target. He leaves with our very best wishes for the future.”
