Competitive eSports platform Unikrn has partnered with multi-player gaming league FACEIT, to create the world’s first competitive integrity certification program for eSports.
The program aims to establish industry-wide best practice combined with competitive structures and policies to ensure legitimacy in eSports match results.
FACEIT becomes the first league to implement the certification program to its multi-player games. Unikrn governance further informed that future participating leagues and tournaments would be ranked on tiers of competitive integrity, integrity based on the extent to which they satisfy different requirements of the program.
Designed on 360 degree guidance approach, the program will aim to address all aspects of competitive eSports, including player codes of conduct, investigation standards, gaming violations and further detailing of games and competitive rules.
The program additionally hope to improve dialogue between players, teams, publishers and organisations.
