Dafabet hires Shane Warne as new brand ambassador

Cricket commentator and former-Australia cricket captain Shane Warne has penned a new five-year deal with Dafabet which will see him named as the operator’s sports representative and brand ambassador.

Warne has been recognised as a top cricketer for Australia, and continues to lead on cricket commentary following his retirement in 2013.

Announcing the appointment, Dimitris Karatzas, chief executive of Dafabet, said that the company was delighted to have as its main sports ambassador a sportsman of Warne’s calibre.

“Shane’s amazing achievements in cricket and his ongoing profile in international sport fit well with the Dafabet brand and our aspirations for continued growth internationally.

“It’s an exciting partnership and we have big plans for the future and that is why we wanted an extended five-year agreement with Shane to start.”

Dafabet currently offers a number of sports betting markets, offering odds across football, basketball and tennis, and in particular, its in-depth cricket product features a huge array of markets and leagues to bet on, both before, and live during matches.

Warne is expected to boost the operator’s expertise on the cricket market, as well as increase the group’s brand exposure after having been named as a ‘top cricketer’ after taking over 1,000 international wickets.
