W88 scores ‘record-breaking’ Aston Villa sponsorship deal

Ahead of its return to the Premier League, Aston Villa has confirmed a ‘record-breaking’ commercial agreement with gambling operator W88 for the upcoming 2019/20 Premier League season.

The Asian betting and gaming company will replace 32Red as the principal partner for the club, with their logo set to feature on the club’s Kappa home and away shirts as well as first-team training wear.

Hilly Ehrlich, W88 Business Development Manager, commented on the new deal: “We are both thrilled and excited to be working with Aston Villa, who, for more than 140 years, have been one of England’s top football clubs.

“We look forward to engaging with the fans, players and club management in the coming months. W88 is a renowned online gaming brand with a significant member base. The brand represents trust and integrity, with sports namely soccer at its core.”

The new sponsorship deal is set to boost W88’s presence in the UK, seen as a welcome addition to its current Asian portfolio. They specialise in sports betting, live dealer casino, poker, slots and lottery games.

Aston Villa’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nicola Ibbetson, added: “The Club is delighted to welcome W88 as a new Principal Partner of the Club, their logo will sit proudly on our kit for the 2019/20 Premier League season.

“This is a record-breaking commercial Partnership for the Club, our promotion to the Premier League offers our Club Partners a global platform to reach our worldwide fan base.”
